Head of Department - Professor O. F. Ajayi
Born 11th April 1959 Prof. Oluseyi Folake Ajayi is a 1985 graduate of the University of Lagos, where she obtained the Bachelor of Dental surgery (BDS), and a Master’s degree in public health (2006).
Prof. Ajayi had her residency training at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital. She was granted a travel visa on an Exchange program in 1994 to the Department of Oral Pathology, University of Newcastle Upon-Tyne, UK as a Senior Registrar in 1994 and became a fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical college (1994) and a fellow of the West African College of Surgeons (2005). Started her academic carrier as lecturer 1 in the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology in 1995 and rose to become a professor in the year 2020. She is currently Professor and Head of the department.
Lectures in Oral Pathology and Oral Biology. She worked as an adjunct lecturer in various other Universities including the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers state, Bayero University, Kano and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
Prof Ajayi has over 40 publications in peer review journals.
